Listen to Sai Maa speak about Brain Illumination (from early March 2004 conference call with the Fairfield community).  Prepare yourself to receive the profound shakti of this message that will touch the core of your being.

Om Jai Jai Maa

With the Grace of Sai Maa Lakshmi Devi, Aaron Anderson taught a four-part series about Enlightenment via teleconference. Brain Illumination is the first technique of the series, and will be the foundational base for many advanced techniques.

Brain Illumination is a simple and very powerful set of techniques used to bring light into the brain in order to create an expanding state of awakened consciousness and enlightenment into our subtle body structures. Cyclic breathing builds and harnesses prana, and is coupled with universal energy directed by our minds through visualization. These powerful energies are directed into the limbic system of our brain. The limbic system is the portion of our neuro-anatomy that is the seat of consciousness. By becoming charged with prana and Light (the Supramental Light of God), the limbic system becomes electromagnetically and electrochemically stimulated, awakening the consciousness and expanding awareness into higher states of realization.

The limbic system is composed of the hypothalamus, thalamus, hippocampus, amygdala, corpus collosum, pituitary gland, and most importantly the pineal gland, the seat of our consciousness.

We recommend using reference and anatomy books, as well as the internet to further learn about these important parts of the brain. (A woman on the second conference call of this series, mentioned that she found the book Brain Respiration  helpful in giving detailed background information for this technique.)  It is also helpful to learn the location and functions of these parts of the brain.  For example, the hippocampus plays a major role in storing our emotions. One might well imagine the impact that enlightening the hippocampus could have on mastering the emotions.

The technique is simple. Please let's keep it that way!

First let us begin by demonstrating the mind's capacity to direct light using visualization. In a moment hold up your right hand and close your eyes. 1. Imagine light filling your right hand. 2. Turn this light up to its brightest intensity. (Like turning on a light using dimmer switch, turn it on and then turn it up and on to its brightest.) 3. Using the intent of our will we anchor the light that has been activated.

This simple example demonstrates that light can be directed and be used to enlighten any area we choose. If we choose to do this process to the limbic system we will create the state of expanding awakened consciousness, and the enlightening of our subtle body structures.

Next is the cyclic breathing portion. Using a normal breath we can build oceans of prana, as long as one doesn't pause anywhere in the breath cycle, which would "cause the prana to leak out." To succeed in cyclic breathing, one must simply not pause anywhere in the breath cycle, especially at the top or bottom of the inhalation and exhalation. (Remember to just use your normal breath, no pausing.)

Let's put it all together now!

Using normal respiration, breathe 10-30 cycles until you reach the state where you feel like its "breathing you", rather than "you're breathing it". We will call this "the zone".

When we reach the zone we will begin the visualization portion.

On the inhalation bring Super Mental Light, the purest white Light of God from the center of the Godhead, into your brain by bringing it down through the antakarana, like you would drink from a straw. (The antakarana is the energetic tube that passes through our physical and upper charkas into the Godhead. It is approximately the size of a fluorescent light tube.)

We draw the God Light through this tube bringing the light into the seven areas which comprise the limbic system.
Here we will accomplish three things: 1. Turn the Light on. 2. Turn the Light up. 3. Use the intent of our will to anchor the Light into each of the seven areas.

On the exhalation phase focus on saving the light and prana inside the limbic system, while exhaling a "hollow shell" of air.

That's it! It's that simple.

We have found that it is extremely useful to have pictures of the brain to study and use as model to be able to visualize our own brain. Furthermore, it is extremely helpful to post these pictures in areas where we work and live. Throughout the day we can look at these charts using them as a visual representation of our own brain. It makes it very easy to see if each portion of our limbic system is "turned on" and leading to an awakened state of enlightenment. Taking only seconds at a time, this technique can easily be practiced 20-50 times a day. This can be practiced anywhere, anytime, except for driving. One might ask themselves if they kept their brain in this constant state of awakened light is it possible that one's life wouldn't change over the next several months to years.

Remember, although this technique is extremely simple, it has the capacity to utterly change every aspect of one's life. The more you do it the more you'll benefit, and it will become easier to maintain.

If we use this powerful technique as common base for our group, then we can add many advanced techniques to this base.

Read about more Brain Illumination techniques covered in the second conference call.

In the Service of the Divine Mother,
Om Jai Sai Maa,
Aaron
