Humanity In Unity Sponsors a Labyrinth at IWP

Humanity In Unity Sponsors a Labyrinth at IWP

On April 23rd, 2004, Sai Maa Lakshmi Devi came to the Indiana Womens Prison in Indianapolis to view the newly completed labyrinth that was designed by renowned labyrinth architect John Ridder, built by the inmates of the prison and sponsored by Humanity In Unity.  At the opening of the labyrinth is a "Quiet Stone," a black granite circle with Sai Maa's flower of life logo etched into the stone and the words "Humanity In Unity."  As Sai Ma stood before the stone and activated it, She said that anyone who steps on this stone will experience peace.  Sai Maa also said that She was activating the stone with the source of creation.

Afterwards Sai Maa met with the women and gave a teaching about freedom and led the assembly in a deep meditation.  Many of the women who had met Sai Maa last year were present and many new women came to meet this divine teacher who had inspired and uplifted the inmates last spring and through the Summer Camp program that many Humanity In Unity members particpated in last summer.

The inmates asked for blessings, cried, and expressed a deep gratitude for Sai Maa's visit.  The entourage of people from Humanity In Unity were grateful for the loving and welcoming response and as the inmates left the chapel at the end of the program they offered many hugs and shook hands with everyone.

Sai Maa has said that she would like to come back to the prison in July and participate in the Summer Camp, when the children of inmates come and visit their mothers in an extended program of activities.
