In Uganda, Africa, Sai Maa and a group of students went to a church for the celebration of Mass and the arrival of Sai Maa. At first, many singers and dancers outfitted in purple and gold dress entertained. One even balanced a one-liter bottle on his head during the entire dance which was quite vigorous. Father Centurio gave the Mass and Sai Maa the sermon. Sai Maa spoke eloquently and precisely – Her determination, passion and absolute unwavering focus on Truth is ever present – a message of Love and Truth. Then a ceremony followed where Sai Maa was given a new name – Nasirumbi, meaning the season of brightest sunlight. (Journal entry of Sai Maa’s Assistant, Bradley Nixon)

"Sai Maa" was given by Sri Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthi

"Sradha"

(September 1998)

When Sai Maa traveled to Rishikesh, India in September 1998, She visited the Ved-Niketan Yoga Ashram. The local Guru was about 90 years, was very successful and taught yoga around the world. He had an immense Ashram in Rishikesh with hundreds of rooms, and he was ready to leave the body but was waiting for someone to take care of his Ashram and carry on his life project. As soon as he saw Sai Maa, he recognized Her as the one for whom he was waiting. He was deeply moved by Sai Maa and insisted on giving Her his Ashram. Sai Maa stayed there for a few nights, including Guru Purnima. During this time, the Guru took Sai Maa to his personal sadhana room, had Sai Maa sit on his own asana, a tiger skin, and gave Her a special initiation during which he gave Sai Maa the name "Sradha" (also the name of the Mother who was with Ramakrishna). Eventually Sai Maa chose not to take this Ashram as She felt it was too large for Her at that time.
